What is OEM?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. When you buy an color

by an independent company. The ink quality, however, will be the same,

What is a remanufactured cartridge?
Some color inkjet printer manufacturers have print heads built into their
cartridges. Due to this and patent restrictions these cartridges cannot
be replicated. Replacement or compatible cartridges cannot be produced.
A remanufactured cartridge is a used cartridge made by the original printer
manufacturer, but refilled and tested by a separate company. They are
not quite as cheap as replacement / compatible cartridges, but they are
still much cheaper than OEM cartridges.
Can the printer manufacturer void my warrantee if I use
a refill kit, replacement cartridge, or a remanufactured cartridge?
No, some manufacturers try to tell you that if you use an color ink refill
kit or any ink cartridge other than theirs, it voids your printer's factory
warrantee. This is not true!
What is a color inkjet cartridge refill kit?
A refill kit is essentially a bottle of ink with a blunt syringe. You
use the syringe to refill your current ink cartridge through a little
hole in the cartridge itself. Refill kits come with full instructions
on exactly how to do this. We don't recommend this if you don't like getting
a little dirty.
How many times can I refill my color inkjet
cartridges?
This is a greatly debated topic. Some cartridges can be refilled 3 times
before a downgrade in printing quality. Some cartridges can be refilled
10+ times with no problems.
How long does a color inkjet cartridge refill
kit last?
When you buy the kit it will usually say how many refills it is for. Prices
vary with the size of your kit.
